Have you felt the flood?
Community support sessions for people impacted by and helping with flooding in Vermont.
Service Description
Now is the time to take time for yourself. Partner with your body to... Explore, navigate, and transform stress and anxiety. Discover and enhance skills for self-awareness and self-regulation. Feel whole and powerful. This two-hour workshop will begin with introductions and education including the philosophy and useful application of this movement-based method of self-inquiry and action. Then, there will be 45 minutes of an embodied experience followed by a reflection/deepening practice (such as journaling). The group will close with a circle and integration. Participants will... *learn about the yoga therapy process and how it works, *explore the embodied practice in a safe and supportive environment, *engage in an activity to deepen their understanding, and *share and learn from one another in a community of people who have similar lived experiences. No yoga experience is necessary. This is not a yoga class! It's not necessary to purchase any equipment for this practice. You are welcome to bring a yoga mat if you own one, otherwise one will be provided. If you own yoga props that you enjoy, you are welcome to bring them. All participants are encouraged to bring a pillow or a blanket from home. Be prepared in clothes in which you feel comfortable moving, have a bottle of water, and have your technology silenced when you arrive. If you like, bring your favorite journal as well.
